Cocksfoot

(Dactylis glomerata L.)

It is a loose-tufted, perennial grass from the Poaceae family, commonly found in dry and moderately humid places, rich in nutrients, especially nitrogen and potassium. It produces high yields of hay of good fodder value if mown early. It is also used in field crop rotations.
